Cluster 5: Diverse and Devout


This group has the highest BIPOC representation and is likely to live in urban areas. They have a religious leaning that is higher than the average and are the second most likely group to regularly attend religious services. They also are the group with the greatest number of children in the household, and 4 out of 5 respondents in this category fall between the ages of 18 and 44.


This group is largely unplugged from politics and is less likely to consume news daily. Diverse and Devout are least likely to vote, although they typically prefer more government services. They are also middle of the road when it comes to political ideology, and generally the least-opinionated group on the overall list of typology questions, with advocating for racial equality and justice garnering the most support. Cluster 5 is least likely to believe that our state is divided and that the country is going in the wrong direction.


Their score is a close-to-neutral -.3 liberal slant. The Diverse and Devout cluster represent 14% of the sample, at 365/2610 respondents.
